Women in heels... how do we do it?

Heels are a woman’s best friend, we wear them all the time, everyday. We wear them for work, going to the mall for shopping or just a simple girls’ day or night out. These shoes look good on us, and they make us feel fierce too. But, looks can be deceiving, we actually hate heels, yes we love how they look but hate how they feel. Wearing heels is actually so much work, it is a mission on its own. Walking in 10-inch heels cannot and will not be fun. We may seem like they feel fine to us and they are comfortable, but deep down inside we cannot wait to get home to our comfort zones, throw them back in the cupboard and throw on our slippers.  This is why the question of ‘how do we do it?’ comes in…

When we walk, we can't even show how much they are killing us, we have to make sure that we rock them well and dress to impress. Wearing high-heels is simply a skill. Not every women knows how to walk in them, and not every women loves them as they know how hard it is.
But after all, It is very clear that women have so many skills and wearing heels is definitely one of them.

The Adventurous Side of Women

Who said that extreme sports are for men only? Adventure sports have never been about who’s the strongest or the most aggressive, which is why women can take part as well. It is all for the fun and the experience at the end. Just going out there and having a good time. It might even be possible to find that there are many women than men who are into extreme sports. However, not many women would be willing to do this. Most do not feel confident, they feel that they will not be strong enough and that it is out of their comfort zone.  And then they surprise themselves after trying because they didn’t know they were capable of doing extreme sports.
Some women try these sports out with their boyfriends or husbands and then it turns out bad due to quarrels and arguments because communication between them is not good, and then this outs them off. It is just better if women do it on their own and go as friends as a girl’s day out. This could even turn out to be a better experience because you are at ease. There are so many extreme sports that women can try out, namely; White river rafting, bungee jumping, Deep sea diving, Rock climbing, Surfing, Mountain biking and lots more. At the moment there’s a big buzz around cycling, there are also women’s cycle events cropping up – these events are perfect for women who may feel a bit intimidated by entering a mixed event and generally the atmosphere is much more relaxed, fun and supportive.
There are so many activities/extreme sports that women can take part in, and they not even aware of this. Women should go out there, research and find out what other ways there are to having extraordinary fun.

Women in Public Relations; why they win

It is said that the practise if Public Relations is a feminine activity. This however does not mean that it has to be dominated and overtaken by women or that men that do it are amateurs. It just means that women would be better in this industry than men. This is one area where women come ahead of men, where they get the head start. Women and men may be equal when it comes to intellectual capability. Women are better than men at sharing power and mentoring employees. So there is a high chance of there being female bosses than males. Many would think that males are supposed to be bosses just because they are masculine. When it comes to creativity, it is definitely necessary, it should be used if you are looking to be creative.  In Australia, it is said that there are more women getting into PR courses than men. The most strongest point of a woman is multi-tasking, now everyone knows that women can do this so well. PR is a very heavy muli-tasking environment so it is important to be strong in that quality. Althought being poor in that field does not mean that you wont be able to enter the field but it could be of good use and really help you...
Could women end up being dominant in the Public Relations industry in the future that it ends up being strictly for women only? or is there something that men can do to keep up?

Housewives

What do housewives actually do? By the sound of the title and our judgments, most people would think that all that housewives do is just sit around all day, watch television with their feet put up and do nothing else... But actually there is more to that. Most households have helpers that help them clean while the man and wife are out to work. When you are a housewife, you don’t need that help because you do it all on your own. Housewives have so many duties that they have to attend to.
They are described as an “individual married woman whose main occupation is running or operating the family's home, caring for and educating her children, cooking and storing food, buying goods the family needs in day to day life, cleaning or maintaining parts of the home, does not generally maintain employment outside the home.”
These women have to wake up earlier than the rest of the family to prepare breakfast, iron any uniform that needs to be ironed, make lunch for the husband and kids, and make sure they look appropriate to leave for school and work. Once that is over they have the whole house to take care of and ensure that it is spotless. Laundry will be next; washing and ironing the clothes. Later on comes preparing lunch for the kids after fetching them from school. Cooking dinner in the evening where you make sure that it is a properly home-cooked meal that your family will enjoy after a long day. And then after it all, washing the dishes and making sure the kitchen is tidy.
This is really a fulltime job for housewives, when the day is done I can only imagine how exhausted they will be feeling, only to wake up the next day and do the same thing over again. So we do see that there is so much more to what  housewives do than what people think.

Women and Immigration

As people, we all want to live our lives, experience the world and travel to any place that we want to go to. However, females may have a tough time doing that. Female immigrants face all the issues that confront male immigrants, including low wages, ethnic hatred and hazardous working conditions. Women are, however, also confronted by additional conditions because of their gender. They are especially vulnerable to being battered, either by a spouse, a partner or an employer, the Family Violence Prevention Fund reports.
Battered immigrant women who flee their abusers may not have access to bilingual support services, financial assistance or food, the Family Violence Prevention Fund reports.

When al of this happens, it then causes more and more immigrant women to leave their children behind in their home countries, forcing them to live torn between the need to provide for their family economically or emotionally, according to Legal Momentum. They do this because it is the only choice that they have, in order for their kids to not suffer.
Ten percent of migrants being held in detention are now female, and that percentage is rising, Human Rights Watch reports.
The medical care provided to female detainees--related to their reproductive health--is dangerously inadequate and fails to live up to international standards. Immigrant women, after a short stay in the United States, quickly begin to experience higher maternal death rates and low birth weight and premature infants.
Battered and trafficked women face a bewildering series of special visas and residency rules: the U Visa, Violence Against Women Act petitions and female genital mutilation asylum petitions, Legal Momentum reports. This goes to show how unfair the world and the system it to females just because of their gender. But if it was males, all would be totally different.

Women abuse - speak out before its too late!

Women are taken advantage of by men on a daily basis, this has now become a worldwide problem. There are different types of abuse; domestic abuse, sexual abuse, verbal abuse, emotional abuse and physical abuse. Women are victims of these. Men see us as fragile and vulnerable beings, so they see the need to take advantage of that. Yes, women are indeed fragile but they are sacred so they should be treated with pure respect. Men do not really realise that without women, the world would be a very different place, so much would change, and not for the better.
Abuse is said to be a crime, which is why victims are advised to be courageous and speak out, fight for their rights.
How to help an abused women?
  • Call a safety shelter to find out how exactly you can help them.
  •  Support her in seeking professional help.
  • Abused women can be traumatised from the whole experience so it would be wise to help them get psycological help.
  • Be there for them when they need to talk.
Woman need to realise the importance of women , they need to see how worthy they are and stop with the violence.

Dating married and older men

Every woman is special in their own way. However, some women are insecure and they do not see that, they do not think highly of themselves and they do not know their worth. In order to fulfil their insecurities, they decide to go out and date married men, probably thinking that the married men are going to give them what they think they need. Younger girls want to date older and married men to fulfil their fantasies, to get anything that they want and being told what they want to hear by these men. But women need to understand that being a home wrecker will not solve any problem, these men already have what they want at home, they have a loving family and they will not leave them just for you. It is only better to know your worth and get someone who will respect you being their one and only. We are all special and we do deserve better.

the power of women

Women are always seen as weaklings to the world. Although we are indeed fragile, we're not as weak as men think we are. Anything that they can do, we can do it twice as good. Well except for the physical part of things, but we can do as much things that they can.
Back in the day, woman were expected to sit at home and be housewives, barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. This is the 21st century, a lot has changed.
Nowadays, women are found in the offices, in big companies working in the same positions as men, sometimes even their bosses. There is often competition in the work places between males and females, this just shows that females are as good as males... Don't get this all wrong though, women are very emotional beings, they are very fragile and even cry for almost anything. This however does not stop them from being as powerful. Soon we will be having a female president, all because of woman-power!
